Exams
Our exams
start on Monday January 27th- January 30th this year. We
are starting with Science on the 27th, E.L.A on the 28th,
Math on the 29th and Social Studies on the 30th. All of the Exams start at 9:00 AM and end in
a couple of hours depending on the subject.
For science we were given an outline saying that the fluids
unit and cells unit are the ones that make up the main exam. The introductory
unit doesn’t play a big role but it has about 10-15% of the exam. In social
studies we were given a rough outline but were told that it is put together
like our tests. This exam will consist of multiple choice, matching, short
answer, fill in the blanks, true or false, and two articles to read and answer
the questions. THE 10 MARKERS OF CIVILIZATION WILL BE ON THE EXAM!! There will not be a word
bank. In math we are going to need to know how to add/sub/mult/divide mixed
numbers and fractions we will need to review square roots, Pythagorean Relationship,
(also know how to spell hypotenuse and Pythagorean) how to find surface area
and volume. The exam will consist of multiple choice, short answer and long
answer. In E.L.A we are to know most of the authors for the stories/poems we
read as well as essay parts/formats, vocabulary, parts of speech, types of
poetry etc.
