Basketball

Basketball season had started. Thankfully I made it onto competitive team.  Lately, we had been practicing our plays for the upcoming games. Our first practice was kind of a light practice. All we did was got to know one another, the coach would ask if we play basketball outside of school and what position do we play, so she could figure out what position fits us best.  The next practice was kind of hard, because we actually learn plays to use for our games. My team and I came up with some weird names for our plays which was, Donut, Jelly Donut, Popcorn, Shell, and Stack.
Shell play is when we spread out to the three point line, and we would give and go. Popcorn is actually two wide stack and the person on the right would set up a pick on the left and the person that was set up for a pick would run to get the ball and the shoot. Easy basket. Our next play is "donut", which is the four player would set up in a circle like a donut, and once the person that's throwing in the ball smack it, the players that was on a donut set-up would open up and go to their position. Same thing with jelly donut but, the players would switch position and would go around first and open up, it's difficult to explain. Lastly, we have stack, which is a common play that is overly used. Stack is just when four player are lined up in a single pile and as soon as the ball thrower smack the ball then we would go to our positing and set up our shell plays. We have neat plays that we have been working on, and it's really enjoyable and interesting. You guys should watch our home games sometimes!
