By: Sukhsagar Sawhney

The competitive girls vs Holy Ghost on Feb. 12/14. They won the game 67-20 with their team effort and confidence. It was a very rough game between both schools. Since Holy Ghost was very rough many of the girls on the team had many injuries, but even though they still didn't lose hope and had a victorious win over Holy Ghost. The team effort of the team was very good, since everybody got a chance to play with the ball. Everybody on the team kept on encouraging their each other. The developmental boys also had a game on Thursday Feb.12/14 against St. Ignatius. The boys also won 36-2 with their hard work and team effort. So far the basketball season is going pretty well for most pf the basketball teams.

Religion Test
Next week we’re going to have a Religion Test. The religion test will be on chapters 14 and 15. In chapter 14 we learned about the vices. A vice is a repeated bad habit. The seven deadly sins are Gluttony, Lust, Anger, Sloth, Pride, Envy, and Greed. Pride is the worst vice to have though. Pride is the worst sin to have because it leads to all other sins. In conclusion vices are not a thing

In chapter 15 we learned about the seven virtues. The seven virtues are Brotherly Love, Diligence, Liberality, Humility, Chastity, Meekness, and Moderation. There is supernatural and Natural virtues. You receive supernatural virtues during Baptism. You receive Natural virtues from good repeated habits. In conclusion virtues are good things to have.

Social Studies

In Social studies we are learning about Egypt. Some of the things we are learning are; how they lived, their religion, how they berried people etc.

We went to the Manitoba Museum to learn about mummies. There we learned how they mummified people, and some boring things about Egypt. And we wrote like Egyptians and mummified carrots.

In class we played a game that was supposed to be like checkers. You throw sticks with pretty geometrical shapes. Then you move your little plastic things that many spaces. First person to get all there plastic things to the end wins: ONE MILLION DOLLAHS!!!!!

ELA

ELA
In ELA, a few weeks ago, we had to make metaphors and could make a little skit out of them if we wanted. We had 2 or more classes to work on our metaphors. I only got 3 metaphors, while everyone else got like 7. Mr. Beaudry kept telling people to present their skits but no one ended up doing it.
After we finished our metaphors we moved on to a story in our ELA book called, The Transformation of Cindy R. It was about this girl who kept getting bossed around by her “friends.” She later gets a fairy god mother and she changes her appearance. After we finished the questions about the story, we moved on to reading The Hobbit. We are now reading The Hobbit in class now.

THE MUSEUM BY NOAH M.

69    On Tuesday, we went to the Manitoba Museum. One of the best things we saw was a real mummy. The mummy's name was Pesed. It was very interesting and we had a lot of fun making mummy carrots.... Not only was the mummy cool, but the whole trip was a great time for us to have more experiences.
